The Phoenicia Diner βis a better, more sophisticated version of the 1950s tin on the outside, vinyl seating on the inside restaurant that normally comes to mind when we think of a diner. On it's own, the diner greets guests with it's 1980s charm. Add to that a menu fit for foodies and packed full of local ingredients, and that's where the sophistication sets in. Dishes like the prosciutto sandwich, the locally smoked trout, and the buckwheat waffles served with local maple syrup are enticing to diners looking for something tasty with a local touch (and bonus: the coffee is amazing). We will all definitely be going back again.
Graham & Co.
Friends and I escaped to upstate New York this weekend for fresh air and adventure. Coming highly recommended to us was the Graham & Co., a beautiful motel tucked away in the small town of Phoenicia. A spot where NYC minimalism meets the rustic outdoors, it made us feel in our element even though we were so far outside of it. Free bikes, an amazing breakfast array complete with eggs stamped with the Graham & Co. logo, minutes away from great hiking and just as great margaritas, an evening bonfire, and a notable local diner were just several of the weekend highlights. It was the perfect spot to get a mini break from city life.

The James Beard House
A dinner at the James Beard House is nothing short of an unforgettable, cool, and unique experience. Seeing the food being plated as you walk through the kitchen, hearing the chef speak passionately about the food that they've prepared, and sitting around a table with a handful of people who most likely share the same love for food as you do are just a few of the highlights. I wholeheartedly recommend this to new yorkers and out-of-town folks alike.
Bryant Park Birthday
Cupcakes, wine, bryant park, and 70 degree weather to celebrate a birthday of one of my dearest friends in the city. When the weather finally decides to stay warm, we have plans to make this a weekly tradition. It's just that good.
Moments Down South
A recent trip to the south included a low country boil, plenty of spanish moss to add to the beautiful scenery, and exploring beaufort by foot and by bike. It's a beautiful place, that South Carolina.
