I just turned 20.

April 27, 2010 = MY LAST DAY AS A TEENAGER

I skipped my first class. I ate the most sprinkles ever. I found out that I got an internship with Soles4Souls! I studied for an accounting test. I went to the SGA inauguration. I ate a free dinner. Thanks SGA. I helped Jeddy pick out some clothes. I cried about turning 20. I brought out the footy pajamas. I made the annual krispy kreme run with friends. I had two dorm room style dance parties. I played kickball in my room, the hallway, and sorority quad. I got kicked out of sorority quad because we were too loud. I ate cookie dough eggrolls. I turned 20 while dancing to "In da Club" by Fifty Cent.

My mound of sprinkles as well as one of 6 desserts I had today.

Weekend Full of Shows

This weekend has been packed full of shows. From Steve Moakler to Ben Rector and Dave Barnes to Matthew Mayfield and Needtobreathe, I have definitely gotten my fill of music and dancing. It has been great.

Road Trips

Nothing beats a road trip with friends. This past weekend, two of my best friends and I made the trek down to Florala to enjoy a weekend on the lake. I had never heard of Florala but soon found out that it is a very small town sitting right on the Alabama-Florida state line. We were in for a treat. We enjoyed a dinner at a country buffet complete with fried chicken, fried shrimp, fried tilapia, corn on the cob, turnip greens, biscuits, hush-pupees, and banana pudding. I learned lots of information about hunting such as; when you kill your first deer you go through a ritual called 'blooding' - that speaks for itself. Okay, I just got queazy again.

we really do love each other.

I love my friends.

One Year

It has been one year and one day since Danny and I started dating onApril 19, 2009

To celebrate...

Danny was in charge of making dinner plans and I was in charge of dessert (my specialty). I was pleasantly suprised when we arrived at Daniel George for a wonderful dinner over candlelight. Danny tried oysters for the first time and loved them (probably because they were fried and covered in sauce) and I would highly recommend the Red Snapper. For dessert, I was in a pinch. Unfortunately, our anniversary fell on Monday which means that none of the restaurants with the best dessert (even Pastry Art, famous for "baby bites") were open. So, with no time to make anything, I turned to my second home: Whole Foods. It was a success. Sitting on a hill that was overlooking a pond at the Botanical Gardens, we enjoyed canollies, vanilla cake dome with chocolate mouse, cookies and cream layered cake, and mint chocolate cookie ice cream. I thought the night would be over after dessert. I was wrong. After being blindfolded for 10 minutes, I was lead inside to what felt like a movie theatre. I was right about that part. When my blindfold came off, I quickly realized that we were in a planitarium and were about to watch a movie that Danny had put together with pictures of us and encouraging videos from our friends. It was phenomenal. Seriously the best gift I have ever received.
