If you have never had the pleasure of experiencing the cookie dough egg rolls at Jackson's, I can honestly say that you are missing out on one of the best creations, ever. As my best friend Sarah and I discovered, this problem can be easily solved with a roll of pre-packaged cookie dough, empanadas, canola oil, and a giant pot. I'll let the pictures do the explaining on how to make it all come together. But truly, try it. You won't regret it. And as you can see by the last picture, Sarah was pretty excited about it herself.
Me + Friends + Bruno Mars x Passion Pit
I got some film developed yesterday and I guess it decided that it wanted to be uber colorful because every shot turned out a different color. I'm fine with that... it reminds me of spring and I could not be more ready for sunshine and bright colors. So, film camera, thank you. Last but not least, the Bruno Mars x Passion Pit remix is by far the highlight of my week so far. It's brilliant and I think that the two should consider collaborating on many more songs. Download it here and listen to it up there.

Atlanta (SugarLand)
This past weekend, my mom and I met up in Atlanta for a weekend together. What was initially planned as a shopping and spa trip turned into us scouting out the many bakeries of Atlanta to find our favorite goodies. We visited Star Provisions, only to be greeted by an abuandance of freshly baked breads, decadent merangues, hearty donuts, and beautifully decorated cupcakes. The ambiance of the bakery was absolutely incredible and everything was toughtfully placed throughout. We then went to Alon's where hearty breads, muffins, and cakes sat perfectly in baskets and on cake stands and jarred honeys, jams, and spreads filled adjacent shelves. Alon's also serves lunch and we were pleasantly suprised with the options and quality of the food. At one point, my mom declared a lamb and veggie wrap as the best thing she had ever eaten. We left Alon's and headed to The Atlanta Cupcake Factory, a quant shop with a case of about 12 different cupcakes ranging in size from mini to jumbo. We left with half a dozen which included salted caramel, red velvet, apple, and german chocolate, all of which tasted so incredible that it was hard to pick a favorite. Needless to say, my sweet tooth was satisfied.
The Art of It
This past weekend I made a trip home to Georgia and for the first time in years, visited the High Museum of Art in Atlanta. The museum is full of beautiful pieces, but it is safe to say that I could spend hours hanging out on the top floor where the modern art is. I fell in love with museums and art galleries last year and fall more in love with them every time I visit one. I love looking at a piece of art and contriving some kind of meaning as to what it stands for, how the artist may have been inspired, and what they want viewers to take away from it. The way an artists' mind thinks is so fascinating, so for me it is like walking in someone else's shoes when I am looking at a piece of art, trying to think the way they may have.
