After I pulled the ultimate terrible-daughter move by skipping out on Mother's Day because of exams, I promised my mom we would have a day together to do whatever she wanted. So, on May 23, our "mother's day," we went to church, ate a delicious brunch, went to some antique shops, took a beautiful drive in the convertible, and ended our day with a beautiful hike.
Spring.
I just love this time of year.My mom's flowers are beautiful.
Flip
Hours of packing, loading, and moving, we were ready for an energy boost.Great food was the answer. And where do you get great food? Flip Burger Boutique. IT IS SOOOOOOO GOOD.
We kind of went all out... The crab cake burger, sweet potato and regular fries, the slaw burger, strawberry shortcake shakes, and the most important part, Coke made with sugar cane (100000 times better than normal coke)
Study Break
Exams last week took a definite toll on everyone's sanity. So what's the best cure to a stressful week full of late nights and hours on top of hours of studying? A rave? Apparently the answer is yes.
Water.
With an underwater camera attached to my wrist, I was prepared to capture the good, the bad, and the ugly of our first surfing experience. With no lessons, we had no idea what we were getting ourselves in to. Quickly, it became apparent that surfing was no easy task. With onlookers seeing us get on our boards, also meant them clearing the way, as they must have known from looking at us that we were prone for disaster. The overall experience was something totally new and hard but it was worth every minute. Maybe next time we will know that lessons are worth the few extra bucks.
These were taken in Costa Rica in January. It took me so long to get them developed.
