Our first stop in Italy: Florence. We quickly discovered gelato which became a regular snack everyday during the trip. We discovered the statue of David, fig cake, hundreds of candy stores, bad customer service, the Duomo (an incredible cathedral built in the 12th century), a wealth of history, a longing to be brave enough to drive a mo-ped in this city, coffee shakerds, beautiful alleyways, beautiful people, incredible art, and that pizza from Italy truly is the best.
