On a recent weekend, I took a couple of days to visit family in North and South Carolina. Between Wilmington and Charleston and being on the water and being surrounded by colorful houses and people I love, it was just what I needed. I sometimes forget just how wonderful it is to sit in a rocking chair for hours on our front porch or roll all of the windows down and just go for a drive. There's such a peace about life in the south for me.
